We’re installing a basketball court!
Why are we installing a basketball court?
Our Rec-n-Respite program in Milford, Delaware is in need of a permanent, safe basketball court.
Over the years, we’ve spent hundreds of dollars on temporary hoops, several of which haven’t lasted us an entire Rec-n-Respite season. Those hoops have always been placed in an unsafe, unenclosed parking lot. Our kids deserve a basketball court that will last for years to come and that is located in our enclosed yard for safety.
Our kids LOVE playing basketball! It’s one of the top activities they ask to do during each Rec-n-Respite session.
Playing basketball encourages children to be active for hours and to work as a team toward a common goal, and it encourages healthy competition under the guidance of our skilled Rec-n-Respite staff.
With the help of our generous and dedicated community partners, we’ve been able to secure donations and pledges, but we need your help to reach our final goal.
